REGIONAL FREIGHT WATER WISE
Regional Freight has a strong focus on improving their environmental management and has embraced
the challenge.
Over the last week, 17 water tanks with a total capacity of 99 000 litres have been installed at the
Acacia Ridge terminal. The tank water will be used to clean trucks, trailers, containers and the terminal
pavement.
Regional Freight Contracts and Agreements Coordinator, Jason Price, said the water will also be used to
water the gardens at Acacia Ridge.
“This will improve the environmental image of Acacia Ridge and make it a more attractive place for workers
and customers alike,” Jason Price said.
Products and Service Manager, Wendy Skinner, commended the Innovation and Ideas Team on their green
initiatives.
“With the water crisis at the top of everyone’s minds, the installation of the tanks is a good step in
improving our water management,” Wendy said.
