<summary>CERES have extended their Food Miles in Australia Report with A comparison
of emissions from road and rail transport on the average Australian grocery basket.
The report has found that if all food items had a transport preference for rail
within the existing rail track but with the addition of a much larger rail
freight depot network wherever practical would deliver an estimated greenhouse
gas emission reduction of 52% on the average Australian shopping basket.
